School Drive Subsidy

Transport for NSW provides subsidies to assist school students. Available to NSW residents in areas without public transport, the subsidy helps eligible students get to school by car, motorcycle or boat.

School Drive Subsidy Payments are calculated based on:

• the distance of your approved one-way daily school journey in kilometres for all your eligible students,

multiplied by

• the School Drive Subsidy daily rate per kilometre,

multiplied by

• the number of days the student attends the school during the semester (January to June or July to December).

Driving and parking

The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.

When driving and parking near our school, please:

• ensure you park safely in school zones
• follow speed signs
• do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
