teacher Lauren Keep

I’ve been teaching since 2016 and have spent the past four years at our small school nestled in the stunning Megalong Valley. Teaching all year levels in one class allows me to form strong, lasting connections with my students, supporting them through every stage of their learning journey.

Surrounded by lush bushland, our students have many opportunities to play, learn, and engage with the outdoors, developing a deep connection with country and a curiosity about the world around them.

I aim to create a nurturing, hands-on learning environment where every child feels valued, challenged, and inspired to discover their passions. Being part of this vibrant, close-knit community makes each day in the Megalong Valley truly rewarding.

Lauren Keep - Classroom teacher

I feel privileged to teach at Megalong Public School, a truly unique and special place. Nestled in a peaceful bush setting, our school is surrounded by the beauty and calm of nature, creating a grounding yet inspiring environment for learning.

Our small class sizes allow me to genuinely know every student, their strengths, interests, and personalities, and to build strong, supportive relationships that help them thrive. There’s a genuine sense of community here, where every student feels seen and valued.

We naturally tailor learning experiences to meet individual needs while offering a wide range of opportunities. Every day feels meaningful as I watch our students grow in confidence, curiosity, and connection with the world around them. Megalong truly is a place where learning feels alive.
